This piece was done with pen & ink and it symbolizes how the world is crumbling as it suffers from a wide array of problems such as abuse, eating disorders etc. The plague doctor is trying his best to concoct medicines to prevent his disasters from happening vent though his own world is starting to break.

This was really fun to do as I do not have the opportunity to draw such themes and I always loved plague doctors for their appearance and how they served as a medieval doctor in the past. I wanted the room to look as messy, dead and broken as possible so I included several bones and trash on the floor while cracks are starting to form in the walls. I really wanted the small details to add depth to the composition and drive the narrative of the piece.
