This piece was done on scratchboard, a traditional medium utilizing cross-hatching techniques. The central theme is folklore as there are many stories in the East that depicts the nine-tailed fox as a guardian/ protector for other animals.

Since this was done on scratchboard, the use of negative space is prominent and gives eye movement throughout the piece. I included butterflies because they still give off a serene ambiance.
